In a dramatic arrest this week, Florida police have nabbed a 52-year-old man who had been seen crawling around the campus library of Florida International University smelling the feet of unsuspecting female students.
Authorities said they received ‘multiple tips’ from the public after handing out fliers about the ‘creepy crawler’ that allowed them to track down the suspect, Eddy Juan, on Tuesday
afternoon.
A registered sex offender, Juan has a criminal history dating back to 1992, including charges of
lewd and lascivious behavior on a child and indecent exposure, NBC Miami reported.
The man was caught under a table on the seventh floor of the Green Library by a woman whose feet he was smelling.

Security footage showed him putting on a white baseball cap and black sunglasses after emerging from under the table.
The ‘sniffer’ was described as being in his late 40’s or early 50’s, about 200 pounds and around 6-feet-tall.

FIU police spokesman David Navas said earlier this week: ‘Although some may consider this to be humorous or insignificant, the FIUPD takes these reports seriously and continues to investigate the matter.’
